Water coming through the ceiling, storm damage, a roof left open to the sky? Ring us now. We cover Essex and London within 50 miles of Chelmsford, and the home visit is free.
The form opens a WhatsApp message straight to us.
Phone first, photos second. Tell us what is happening and where you are.
Simple test: is water coming in now, or is the roof left open to the weather? Then it is an emergency. The usual ones we get called to across Essex are:
If the damage is old, dry and stable, it can wait for a booked visit. That is a job for roof repairs in Chelmsford, not an emergency call. Be honest with yourself about which one you have, and ring us either way.
Once you have rung us, there are a few things you can do while you wait. All of them can be done from inside or from the ground. None of them involve going up a ladder.
That is genuinely all you need to do. Contain the water, keep yourself safe, and let us deal with the roof. If you have photos, send them to WhatsApp on 07540 235332.

The first priority on any emergency call is stopping water getting in. Once the opening is closed and the roof is safe, the panic is over and the job becomes ordinary: we look at the whole roof on a free visit, price the permanent repair properly, and book it in.
Some emergency work is a temporary measure by nature, and some turns out to be a straightforward repair done on the spot. Which yours needs depends on what we find. We will explain it plainly when we see the roof, and all our work comes with a solid guarantee.
Flat roofs fail in an emergency in three ways. Heavy rain overwhelms the outlets and the ponding finds a weak spot. Felt splits along an old seam or where the sun has made it brittle. Joints and trims part company with the deck and lift in the wind.
Flat roofing is our specialism, so a failed flat roof is well within our normal work. For the planned versions of the same jobs, see flat roofing in Chelmsford or the county page on flat roofing in Essex.
Essex gets its share of named storms and short violent squalls, and roofs along the coast and the open farmland take the worst of it. After a blow, the damage we see most is slates and ridge tiles off, felt lifted at the edges, and flashing peeled back where the wind got under it.
All of it sits inside our normal repair work, and after a storm we prioritise roofs that are letting water in. Walk your boundary first if it is safe: damage you can see from the ground is damage worth a phone call.
We will assess the roof, make it safe and quote the permanent repair. If you need paperwork for anyone else involved, tell us on the phone and we will explain what we can provide.
We are roofers in Chelmsford first and work within a 50-mile radius, which takes in all of Essex and London. In practice that means Brentwood and Basildon are easy runs down the A12 and A127, Colchester and Braintree to the north and east, and Billericay, Epping and the London boroughs to the south and west.
If you are inside that circle, you are in our patch. If you are not sure, ring 07540 235332 anyway. If we cannot reach you, we will tell you straight rather than leave you waiting.
